Is it really May already? This year is flying by! It'll be Christmas before you know it. When does Harrods open up it's Christmas department?
It's been a busy start to the year with a number of projects and clients, including getting SoWN off the ground and working with FullerLong on some new Trampoline Parks for an American client, following our success in securing planning permission in Camberley, Surrey for the first trampoline park to be opened in the UK (due to open this month). Can't wait to try it out once it's open! It’s also been an interesting time trying to keep fully up to speed with all the changes to legislation that the government keeps throwing at us!
I've very recently come across The Theatres Trust. How have I never heard of them before? In checking them out, I've discovered that they have a Theatre Buildings at Risk Register... this has definitely got me thinking about a neglected space project. Now to get my thinking, negotiating and grant fund application caps on! Someone's trying to tell me something by waving their name in front of me.
On the sporting achievement front, April has been pretty phenomenal, completing the London Marathon on 13th in 4 hours and 27 minutes, in doing so I managed to raise over £2,000 for Music in Hospitals, which is an amazing charity that does some brilliant work across the Country. I'm hoping to run again next year and will aim for under 4 hours (mildly terrifying!). Two weeks later, I then completed a tough mudder - a 12 mile obstacle course around Henley on Thames with a team of 8. It was definitely helpful having a bit of help getting over some of the trickier obstacles!
That's me for now. If anyone is interested in working with me on the next neglected spaces project, make sure you get in touch!
